This new deck of cards has me wanting to join my Grandma’s bridge club just so I can look at them more often. Self proclaimed “Chinese Little Chick”, Michelle Lam has created a visually stunning new collection.

This set of Type based playing cards where unfortunately not produced for mass distribution but rather were the brain child of a student graduation project. The 54 cards are basically an intro into type. The standard suits break down into 1) Anatomy 2) Classification 3) Glyphs and 4) Type-Setting. This little deck is truly the one stop teaching aid for type fans not to mention a visual party for my eyes. Lets just hope that someone out there snatches up the opportunity to make this product a consumer reality. Way to go Michelle.

Who am I? Hrmmm. I guess I'm a guy who spends his days trying to find creative ways of looking at things. I currently run AERA Creative Inc, a design studio based out of Calgary, AB. Canada. I originally pursued a degree in Fine Art but quickly realized after graduating that a life making art wasn't as realistic as it may have seemed. So here I am. I design, I create and I look for inspiration on a daily basis.
